Aris Stylianou

Aris Stylianou was born in 1965 and lives in Thessaloniki, Greece. He is a Professor of Political Philosophy at the Department of Political Science, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH). He studied at the Faculty of Philosophy at AUTH and pursued postgraduate studies in philosophy in France, where he completed his doctoral dissertation at the University of Paris (Sorbonne). He has published books, studies, and articles, translated and edited philosophical texts, and participates in numerous scholarly associations in Greece and abroad. He also regularly contributes articles to newspapers and magazines. He served as Chair of the Department of Political Science at AUTH (2018–2022) and as President of the Board of the National Theatre of Northern Greece (KTBE) (2015–2019). In 2015, he was honored by the French Republic with the title of Knight of the Order of the Academic Palms.
