At the presentation of the book The Crisis of Politics by Stefanos Dimitriou (Polis Publications), held on 13 March at the Journalists’ Union of Athens (ESIEA), Maria Repousi, historian and Director of the Nikos Poulantzas Institute, highlighted the key questions the book raises regarding the functioning of democracy today.
In her remarks, she focused in particular on the weakening of politics in relation to market forces, the growing distance between citizens and the political system, and the challenges facing the Left in a period marked by profound social and economic transformations.
