With great success, the Institute’s Annual Lecture in memory of Nicos Poulantzas was held on Friday, 19 December 2025, in the Auditorium of the Goethe Institute, with the main speaker being Princeton professor Eduardo Cadava.
Analyzing Fazal Sheikh’s multi-volume photographic work, he traced aspects of the Israel–Palestine conflict and highlighted practices of erasing Palestinians’ memory from their own land.
Photography does not merely identify the dead; it does not allow them to become anonymous or to be forgotten. It also becomes a medium that teaches history how to read.
