The Nikos Poulantzas Institute bids farewell with deep sorrow to the President of its Board of Directors, Alekos Flabouraris, who passed away on Tuesday, 18 November.
For decades, Alekos Flabouraris was a significant figure of the Left and of public life, serving with consistency, sensitivity, and humanity the values of democracy and social justice. As President of the Institute’s Board of Directors, during a difficult period, he played a decisive role in the relaunch of the Nikos Poulantzas Institute and was instrumental in redefining its strategic direction.
All of us, his colleagues and collaborators, will always remember him for his integrity, his gracious presence, and his trust in young people and their ideas.
The Nikos Poulantzas Institute extends its warmest condolences to his family, his comrades, and his loved ones.
