Vasiliki Lazou

Vasiliki Lazou is a historian, holding a PhD from Panteion University and a postdoctoral fellowship at the Institute of Historical Research (IHR/IAKA). She teaches Modern Political History at the Department of Political Science of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. She is the author of the books The Imposition of the State: The Civil War in Lamia, 1945–1949; Women and the Revolution of 1821: From the Ottoman World to the Free Greek State; and Energy Resources and Politics from the 19th to the 21st Century. She has also served as editor of historical publications and special issues in nationally circulated newspapers. She organizes public history initiatives for museums and associations dedicated to historical memory and is an active member of historical societies and cultural associations.
