DESCRIPTION:Το Ινστιτούτο Νίκος Πουλαντζάς σας προσκαλεί στη 17η Ετήσια Διάλεξη στη Μνήμη του Νίκου Πουλαντζά\, η οποία φέτος φιλοξενεί την ομότιμη καθηγήτρια Ψυχολογίας και Σπουδών Φύλου στο Κολλέγιο Birkbeck του Πανεπιστημίου του Λονδίνου\, Lynne Segal. Ο τίτλος της φετινής Ετήσιας Διάλεξης είναι Η πολιτική της ριζοσπαστικής φροντίδας και αναδεικνύει ένα από τα θέματα αιχμής της εποχής μας\, το ζήτημα της φροντίδας\, και μάλιστα υπό την οπτική της κριτικής σκέψης και της ριζοσπαστικής πολιτικής. \nΗ Ετήσια Διάλεξη θα πραγματοποιηθεί τη Δευτέρα 18 Δεκεμβρίου 2023 στις 18.00 στο Εθνικό Ίδρυμα Ερευνών (Λεωφ. Βασ. Κωνσταντίνου 48\, Αθήνα – πρόσβαση από Μετρό Ευαγγελισμός) και θα μεταδοθεί ζωντανά μέσα από το κανάλι του ΙΝΠ στο YouTube. Θα υπάρχει ταυτόχρονη διερμηνεία στα ελληνικά και στην ελληνική νοηματική γλώσσα. \n  \nΠερισσότερα για τη Lynne Segal: \nΗ Lynne Segal είναι ομότιμη καθηγήτρια Ψυχολογίας και Σπουδών Φύλου στη Σχολή Κοινωνικο-Ψυχολογικών Σπουδών του Κολλεγίου Birkbeck του Πανεπιστημίου του Λονδίνου. \nΓεννήθηκε στο Σίδνεϊ\, όπου ολοκλήρωσε τις σπουδές της στην Ψυχολογία (Πανεπιστήμιο του Σίδνεϊ) και από το 1970 ζει\, εργάζεται και δραστηριοποιείται κινηματικά και πολιτικά στο Λονδίνο. \nΤο συγγραφικό της έργο είναι σημαντικό για τον σύγχρονο ριζοσπαστικό αριστερό φεμινισμό\, ακαδημαϊκά αλλά και πολιτικά. Τάχθηκε υπέρ της συμμαχίας μεταξύ συνδικαλιστών\, φεμινιστριών και των οργανώσεων της Αριστεράς\, αμφισβήτησε έμφυλα στερεότυπα που αναπαράγονταν και μεταξύ φεμινιστριών σε προηγούμενες δεκαετίες\, περιλαμβανομένων των αντιλήψεων περί θηλυκότητας και ανδρισμού στο πλαίσιο μιας ετεροκανονικής αντίληψης\, υπερασπίστηκε τη ρευστότητα της σεξουαλικής εμπειρίας και προώθησε μια περισσότερο συμπεριληπτική εκδοχή αριστερού φεμινισμού. \nΤα τελευταία χρόνια ασχολείται με το ζήτημα της φροντίδας υπό μία ριζοσπαστική οπτική. Είναι μεταξύ των ιδρυτριών/τών και μελών της Κολλεκτίβας της Φροντίδας [“The Care Collective”]\, μαζί με τις/τους Ανδρέα Χατζηδάκη\, Jamie Hakim\, Jo Littler και Catherine Rottenberg\, που το 2017 δημοσίευσε το Μανιφέστο της Φροντίδας (The Care Manifesto – κυκλοφορεί στα ελληνικά από τις εκδόσεις Ροπή). \nΤα πιο πρόσφατα βιβλία της Lynne Segal είναι τα: \n\nLean on Me: A Politics of Radical Care [Στηρίξου πάνω μου: Μια πολιτική της ριζοσπαστικής φροντίδας] (Verso\, 2023)\nRadical Happiness: Moments of Collective Joy [Ριζοσπαστική Ευτυχία: Στιγμές συλλογικής χαράς] (Verso\, 2017)\nOut of Time: The Pleasures and Perils of Ageing [Τέλος χρόνου: Οι χαρές και οι κίνδυνοι των γηρατειών]  (Verso\, 2013)\n\n  \nΠερισσότερα για τον θεσμό της Ετήσιας Διάλεξης: \nΗ Ετήσια Διάλεξη στη Μνήμη του Νίκου Πουλαντζά αποτελεί ένα σημαντικό ορόσημο στη δραστηριότητα του Ινστιτούτου Νίκος Πουλαντζάς κάθε χρόνο\, αλλά και έναν θεσμό για τα ελληνικά πολιτικά και ακαδημαϊκά δρώμενα. Στα χρόνια που έχουν μεσολαβήσει από την πρώτη διοργάνωση το 2007\, η Ετήσια Διάλεξη έχει φιλοξενήσει κορυφαίους διανοούμενους και διανοούμενες\, προερχόμενους/ες από διαφορετικά επιστημονικά πεδία\, αλλά και από διάφορα ρεύματα αριστερής και κριτικής σκέψης και πολιτικές παραδόσεις εντός της Αριστεράς\, επιδιώκοντας να φέρει το ελληνικό κοινό σε επαφή με τη διεθνή πολιτική και θεωρητική συζήτηση\, αλλά και να προτείνει στρατηγικές απαντήσεις χρήσιμες για την πολιτική πράξη της Αριστεράς στη χώρα μας. \nΟι παλαιότερες διαλέξεις κυκλοφορούν στα ελληνικά και στα αγγλικά από το ΙΝΠ σε συνεργασία με τις εκδόσεις Νήσος.

DESCRIPTION:17th Annual Nicos Poulantzas Memorial Lecture \nLynne Segal \nThe Politics of Radical Care \nMonday\, December 18th\, 2023\, 6:00 p.m. \nNational Hellenic Research Foundation (NHRF) \n  \nLivestreaming on NPI’s Youtube channel  \n  \nAbout the speaker: \nLynne Segal is Anniversary Professor\, Emerita of Psychology and Gender Studies at Birkbeck\, University of London. She was born in Sydney\, where she completed her studies in Psychology (University of Sydney) and since 1970 she is based in London\, where she has been involved in politics and social movements. \nHer writing is important to contemporary radical left feminism. She has supported the alliance between trade unionists\, feminists and organizations of the Left; she has challenged gender stereotypes reproduced among feminists in previous decades and notions of femininity and masculinity within a heteronormative conception; she has defended the fluidity of sexual experience and promoted a more inclusive version of left-wing feminism. \nIn recent years she has been working on the subject of care from a radical perspective. She is among the founders and members of The Care Collective\, together with Andreas Hatzidakis\, Jamie Hakim\, Jo Littler and Catherine Rottenberg\, that published “The Care Manifesto” in 2017. \n\nAbout “Nicos Poulantzas Memorial Lecture”: \nThe annual “Nicos Poulantzas Memorial Lecture” was launched in December 2007 and has been continuously delivered since then by eminent intellectuals from different countries on a theoretical issue of their choice. The Lecture is not intended to deal narrowly with Nicos Poulantzas’ work\, but with the many issues and theoretical perspectives it covers\, such as Marxism\, socialism and social emancipation\, world capitalism\, the role of the state\, social classes\, political economy\, political ecology\, social movements etc. which at the same time can be useful in political practice. \nThe first lecture was given by Professor Bob Jessop (“Political Economy\, Political Ecology and Democratic Socialism”)\, the second by Professor Leo Panitch (“The State in the Current Capitalist Crisis and the Strategy of the Left in the 21st century”)\, the third by Professor Judith Butler (“Performative Politics and the Critique of State Violence”)\, the fourth by Professor Michael Lebowitz (“Building Socialism for the 21stCentury.
