Lois Labrianidis<\/strong> is Emeritus Professor at the University of Macedonia and former Secretary General for Private Investments at the Ministry of Economy & Development. He is an economic geographer, holding a BA from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (1977), an MA from the University of Sussex (1978), and a PhD from the London School of Economics (1983).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He has authored over 80 scientific articles and 17 books, individually or collaboratively, including: Searching for the Other Path<\/em> (2024), The Geographic, Scientific and Professional Mobility of Greek PhDs<\/em> (2021), Brain Drain in Greece<\/em> (2021), Do We Want Development?<\/em> (2021), Spatial Development and Human Capital<\/em> (2016), Investing in Flight<\/em> (2011), Thessaloniki at the Crossroads<\/em> (2008), The Moving Frontier<\/em> (2008), The Future of Europe\u2019s Rural Peripheries<\/em> (2004), Albanian Migrants in Thessaloniki<\/em> (2001), Economic Geography<\/em> (2001), and Regional Universities in Greece<\/em> (1993).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
