He earned his PhD from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and is a member of the Royal College of Pathologists (UK). He has authored over 480 publications in international scientific journals and serves as a reviewer for research programs in the European Union and other international organizations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He has been a member of the European Union\u2019s Scientific Advisory Committee on Antimicrobial Resistance Research and Infection Control.
